IT Operations Manager

Duties

The main challenge in the position is leading the local team efforts to provide monitoring and issue diagnostics of enterprise-class, cloud-based software solutions. This will include

  • overseeing the daily ticket operations; ensuring smooth operations of customer service and supporting processes; optimizing and maintaining workflows;
  • monitoring operational metrics to anticipate and mitigate performance challenges for the business;
  • incident management, running company-wide incident response and coordination, from discovery/triage through to fix/release;
  • supporting the leadership team in various analytical and strategic tasks;
  • ensuring IT standards and best practice are followed at service desk;
  • taking ownership of the quality assurance processes;
  • documentation, writing internal and client-facing procedures and technical documentation for support and platform usage.
Required skills
  • Experience with leading operations teams;
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and supporting enterprise-class solutions;
  • Deep knowledge of problem-solving techniques and methodologies. Proficiency in managing IT feature/fix backlog issue-tracking and documentation suits such as JIRA, Confluence or TFS/SharePoint;
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and out-of-the-box thinking;
  • Passion for change management and openness to new ideas and concepts;
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategies into effective processes, systems and tools;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across various functions;
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach with a focus on customer satisfaction and getting things done;
  • Experience in work within an international environment will be an asset.
